The Story behind the Picture |
| It is not only one element that makes "Netiv" so unique. It is the sum total of many different elements coming together. Here is a partial listing of the special qualities of the Yeshiva. To truly appreciate the YNA experience, one need only speak to any of our hundreds of alumni. Rosh Yeshiva and senior staff members remain in Yeshiva well into the night. Inspiration of being in the Old City, and actually having the main entrance open onto the Kotel Plaza. Very diverse staff from many perspectives. Very high staff/student ratio. Many Rebbeim live in close proximity of the Yeshiva. The Yeshiva is always open, including Pesach and other vacation times. Very large night Seder staff. YNA Staff on the YU campus directing programming and assisiting our alumni studying there. Gedolai Hador, including the Rav of the Old City, HaRav Nebenzahl Shlit"a. Our Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Aharon Bina - devoted to students 24/7. Special programing for Sephardim and for students from the United Kingdom. | | One of the highlights of the night seder is the division into chaburot. The chaburot offer the students the oppurtunity to study in a small, intimate setting lead by one of the Rabbanim on staff. The students may choose from a wide range of subjects, from hashkafa to halacha, to the meaning behind mitzvoth. The lively discussions and the more open atmosphere greatly enhance the night seder experience. The banquet was full of ruach as more than ninety talmidim completed Massechet Taanit, many of them multiple times. The Seudat Mitzvah was followed by a moving kumsitz.
